Before the Surgery
Day 3 :
Today marks 3 days since my nose surgery at View Plastic Surgery. The swelling in my nose and face is considerable. I only felt some dizziness on the first day, but from the second day, I started feeling some pain. Also, the fact that I can’t wash my nose area and can’t shave underneath my nose is pretty uncomfortable. My skin is on the thinner side, so the discomfort is more palpable. I wish I could remove the stitches and wipe my face with a wet towel very soon! But at least I have no issues eating food. I was told that compared to other areas, the swelling in the nose area subsides faster, I frequently apply cold and warm compresses I do it from time to time. The stitches and splint will be removed in the first week, so I think I’ll be able to clearly see the change in the shape and outline of my nose. Right now, I'm in the early stages of post-surgery, so I'm just going to focus on recovering..1st week :
It’s been a week since my nose plastic surgery at View Cosmetic Surgery Hospital. After removing the splint, I was surprised to see that the swelling had gone down considerably. However, it’s too bad that the swelling around the tip of my nose still hasn’t subsided. I’ve read some of the past patients’ reviews on the internet, and most of them said that the swelling around the tip of the nose took quite some time to decrease. The area between the eyebrows seems to recede the fastest, while the tip and bridge of the nose seem to recede slowly. Other than that, I feel that the swelling around my eyes and cheeks is going down quickly. There was a big difference in swelling the next day between the day I slept lying down and the day I slept sitting down. On the days I slept lying down, my face was very swollen in the morning, but on the days I slept sitting up, the swelling seemed to have gone down even more in the morning. However, it’s really uncomfortable and difficult to sleep sitting down. Moreover, they advised me not to laugh much, so I’m trying to avoid anything funny for the time being. I have laughed slightly, and I felt some discomfort in my nose afterward. Also, it seemed like the swelling has increased a bit. I refrained from laughing, smoking and drinking, and as long as I don’t gain weight, the swelling seems to go down pretty fast compared to other surgeries. As of now, I’m doing my best not to hit my nose anywhere or subject it to any kind of shock. I really can’t wait to see how my nose looks as the swelling subsides! Compared to when I had my contouring surgery, there doesn’t seem to be that much discomfort at all. I’m glad that although I had a nose surgery, I could return to my daily activities after only a week haha.
2nd week :
It’s been two weeks since I’ve had my rhinoplasty at View Cosmetic Surgery. After removing the splint a week post surgery, I noticed some skin troubles on my face, but they ended up getting better the second week. My skin is prone to blemishes since it’s more sensitive than other patients’, so it’s not a big deal. Regarding the swelling, I can feel it going down after only a week (although it needs to recede more). I haven’t had any issues going on with my daily activities. However, not being able to lower my head, the back of my neck feels stiff since I need to keep my head up the whole time. I’ll try not to lower my head on the daily basis for at least a month. I feel that, that way , my nose shape will settle in and look better. During the first week, I had trouble breathing, which was uncomfortable, but now it’s gotten a lot better. The shape of my nose is definitely prettier compared to the week before. I am satisfied because the doctor seems to have done a good job of giving me the look I wanted, and I am looking forward to seeing most of the swelling disappearing by the first month. When I told people around me that I was going to have nose surgery, some of my acquaintances were against it, but when they saw me in the second week post surgery, they actually apologized and said that View Plastic Surgery had done a good job on my nose, which felt a bit odd.
Every time I look in the mirror, I realize that even if I just change my nose, the overall look and feel of my face change considerably. I even have a regretful feeling that I should have had the surgery sooner. It was a satisfactory second week review.
3rd week :
Today marks one month since my nose surgery! From the looks of it, the major swelling seems to have almost all gone down. Friends and acquaintances around me all compliment me about my nose, saying how it looks pretty !! On the first day after the surgery, my parents said that my nose shape looked strange, and worried a lot. But now after the swelling subsided, my mom who was against me having the surgery in the first place is very satisfied. It’s the first time I realized how much a nose surgery can change the feel of the face. Prior to the surgery, I’ve heard from many people that I didn’t need the surgery, which made me hesitate a bit I was a little hesitant before the surgery because I had heard a lot that it was okay not to do it, but the people who tried to stop me at the time are now showing an opposite reaction, saying that it looks like the surgery went well. Haha. My facial expression was originally plain, so I wanted to have a more glamorous look, so I decided to get a rhinoplasty. I think I made the right decision! Today, I visited View Plastic Surgery to see the first month progress and saw the doctor in charge of my surgery. He said that I can now drink alcohol, go to the sauna, and go to the gym, too. I also had a contour surgery last year, and I think the big advantage of nose surgery is that the recovery period is much faster. The scar under my nose is less visible, and the feeling of a foreign body in my nose has completely disappeared. Now I feel like my nose is firmly in place and settled in. I am so satisfied. The doctor asked me to take good care of my nose until the 3rd month, so I plan to continue doing that!1 Month
2 Months :
It’s been 2 months since my nose surgery at View Cosmetic Surgery. Even since the surgery, there were no issues going back to my daily activities, so I personally felt like time went by fast. The recovery time seemed quite short, so I like it. I already hear people in my surroundings complimenting and congratulating me about my nose saying “the surgery was well done”, “where did you get it?”, so I’m very satisfied. It’s even funny that my parents who were originally opposed to me having the nose surgery, now look at me and say how much they like the results. .I heard that the swelling would last for 3 months, but it feels like it's already gone, and I now do various exercises just like before the surgery,. However, there's no strain on my nose at all. Of course, I plan to take care my nose a lot haha. Since people around me only say kind words, my personality seems to have improved, and even when something bad happens, I feel better when I look at my nose haha.3 Months :
It’s already been 3 months since I’ve had cosmetic surgery. As of now, it seems like the swelling has gone down almost completely. I used silicone when I had my nose surgery, and it seemed to have naturally settled in place already. I now can go on with my daily activities without any issues. The compliments about my nose are so overwhelming, my self esteem has improved considerably. Moreover, unlike my contour surgery, there’s one more positive point. I recently gained some weight, and it was apparent after my contour surgery. But, after my nose surgery, it wasn’t that obvious, so I’m glad about that. The line and shape are well maintained, it looks like my real nose. If I had to think about one thing I still can't do as I want, it would be not being able to sleep face down. I heard that I can blow my nose after 3 months, so I'm carefully clearing it whenever it gets clogged, and I haven’t had a problem since. It feels like the recovery’s completed with almost no major changes since the 3rd month, so I feel like there will be fewer and fewer reviews. As of 3 months post surgery, I can already feel that my nose is perfect!4 Months :
4 months have passed since my nose surgery. In fact, I didn't even realize it was the 4th month since I had almost no discomfort going on with my daily activities. I tried running carefully until the third month, but I couldn't do it because my nose felt a little tight every time my feet hit the ground At some point, I felt like my nose was almost completely fixed, so I’ve gotten back to my running exercises little by little. Even when I laugh out loud or cough because I have a cold, my nose doesn't get stuffy at all. Although I like running, I have been holding back for a long time for the sake of my nose, and this time I finally tried running for about 2 hours. Now, even when I run, I don't feel like there's any strain on my nose at all. Activities that require caution or restraint after nose surgery are now all almost possible. The only thing I haven't tried yet is sleeping on my stomach. I haven't tried this yet because I know it's not good for my health, but I don't think it would be too much of a problem as long as I don't sleep with my nose pressed on the pillow. I’ve regained the elasticity and firmness of my skin to the point that my nose can withstand even the slightest shock. From the 4th to 5th month onward, I could definitely feel that my nose had settled in well, which that was significantly different from the 3rd month. In fact, I'm already satisfied enough that I don't need to change anything further!
